Saint-Nicolas de Véroce

An exceptional landscape

A real haven of peace, authenticity and natural simplicity where quality of life is an art form highlighted by the breath-taking views! The sunsets and sunrises in the mountains are spectacles that are repeated every dawn and dusk, and yet no two are ever the same.

The Village
A slice of authenticity

The seasons come and go but people live and work in the village all year. The villagers have made the choice to live in a place unmarked by the passage of time. There is a charming little primary school with only 15 pupils, who you'll undoubtedly pass in the centre of the village with their school bags on their backs!

The historical and architectural heritage of the village has been totally preserved thanks to the care and attention of its inhabitants. It is a joy to discover the 18th Century Baroque church or the centuries-old farms along one of the many trails leading out from the village.

A well preserved natural heritage.

Year-round tourism

There are a number of events throughout the year, both in the Mont Blanc surrounding and further afield. These include: the Mont Blanc Comedy festival in St. Gervais, the Mont Blanc Baroque Festival, the Mont Blanc Musilac Festival, the Cosmo Jazz Festival, the UTMB race starting from Chamonix and passing through Saint Gervais, the Annecy Animation Festival, and festival Guitare en Scène in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois. As you can tell, there's a lot going on in the region!
